Sigma Pi is the newest fraternity on campus coming to the University of Pennsylvania this fall! This October, the Expansion staff from the Sigma Pi Executive Office Headquarters will be recruiting scholars, leaders, athletes and gentlemen to start an official colony at UPenn and re-establish the Delta Chapter of Sigma Pi. Founded on scholarship, leadership and service, by starting your own fraternity you will have the opportunity to become a Founding Father! This is your chance to organize and lead a group of people and set the standards for those to come right from the beginning.  For more information check out our website www.joinsigmapi.com or global facebook group Sigma Pi Fraternity at UPenn.  Feel free to contact our Expansion Staff, who are on the ground recruiting the Next Generation of Leaders for Sigma Pi Fraternity until October, 29th 2007.  Nick Frees (Cell) 615.522.2966 or (email) nfrees@sigmapi.org

Perspective fraternity and sorority members, parents, and others:

As first year students begin to look forward to the Spring Semester and fraternity/sorority recruitment, please be aware that several groups exist at Penn who portray themselves as fraternities or sororities who are not official or recognized fraternities or sororities.  These groups exist without the benefit of University oversight.  They may recruit with alcohol which is against University policy, and allegedly openly haze their new members.  Some of these organizations are remnants of former fraternities that were suspended for disciplinary purposes.  Should anyone have questions as to which groups are legitimate, please contact the Office of Fraternity Sorority Affairs at ofsa@pobox.upenn.edu, or call 215.898.5263 and ask for Scott, Stacy or Larry.   Be aware that the following student organizations are not fraternities or sororities at the University of Pennsylvania:

The Tabard Society

The Owl Society

THEOS

HOZ or any variation
