INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL RUSH/RECRUITMENT

Click HERE to register for rush.

Anyone going through recruitment must register for the recruitment process.  Men who are not registered at the link below will be ineligible to receive a bid, a formal invitation to join a fraternity.  However, simply by registering does not commit you to accept any bids.

Penn fraternities are values-based organizations that are committed to high ideals of brotherhood, academic success and service.  Based upon their commitment to academic excellence, anyone wishing to join a fraternity at Penn MUST have an established collegiate GPA of at least a 2.5 or higher.  There is no exception to this rule.

Perspective fraternity and sorority members, parents, and others:

As first year students begin to look forward to the Spring Semester and fraternity/sorority recruitment, please be aware that several groups exist at Penn who portray themselves as fraternities or sororities who are not official or recognized fraternities or sororities.  These groups exist without the benefit of University oversight.  They may recruit with alcohol which is against University policy, and allegedly openly haze their new members.  Some of these organizations are remnants of former fraternities that were suspended for disciplinary purposes.  Should anyone have questions as to which groups are legitimate, please contact the Office of Fraternity Sorority Affairs at ofsa@pobox.upenn.edu, or call 215.898.5263 and ask for Scott, Stacy or Larry.   Be aware that the following student organizations are not fraternities or sororities at the University of Pennsylvania:

The Tabard Society

The Owl Society

THEOS

OZ or any variation
